a friend of mine.

A friend of mine is suffering from a rare cancer called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor, or DSRCT.

I haven't known him very long, but he has such a strong spirit and faith that he has left a strong impression on me.

I posted this so when you feel down and out about something, try to think about all the good things that you have, because I find it is too easy to forget about the little things, such as life itself.

Think on your blessings and remember my friend.

Wow, I'm glad he is doing okay.

It makes a huge difference on how people with cancer react.
People that go downhill fast usually don't make it long.

Actually, he isnt doing so well-
It's the fact that he remains strong even with a 15% chance of surviving that left such an impression on me...
All we can do now is hope though

but i didnt know where this forum stood on praying

well i would like to say that this forum should be open to it. whatever people want to do they should be able to do like pray( to what ever god that they pray to not only jesus) or if they don't believe in god they can just hope i dont think there should be any slander towards religious preferences on here
as far as your friend that does really suck cancer sucks soo much and i hope that he will get better

i know a lady who just got 1/3 of her tounge(sp) all her bottom teeth and part of her jaw taken out because of mouth cancer ( she never once smoked or chewed tobacco ) but she will be ok it just sucks what all cancer can do to even really healthy people
